Howard Hook Named a Best Financial Advisor for Doctors by Medical Economics magazine for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Howard Hook, Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), has been named by Medical Economics magazine as one of the nation’s ‘Best Financial Advisors for Doctors’ for the fifth consecutive year.

A resident of Wayne, Hook was one of just 200 or so financial advisors cited nationally and 12 in New Jersey. The inclusion criteria was based on such factors as knowledge and experience - "brainpower and wisdom are mandatory, and we looked for advisors with depth of knowledge about a broad range of financial issues," - as well as geography, minimum size of portfolio, type of fee arrangements and standing with the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. This award speaks to the experience of providing tailored financial planning and investment advice to doctors and other affluent clients.

Hook frequently writes about and is interviewed by the media on a variety of topics, including financial and retirement planning and tax-efficient investing. He has recently appeared in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, Fortune magazine, Money magazine, The New York Post, New York Daily News, and many other notable publications, both in print and online.

Hook holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY at Binghamton University, and received his CFP® designation from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. A member of the Financial Planning Association and Princeton Chamber of Commerce, he teaches a variety of financial courses at the Princeton Adult School, has presented at the Star-Ledger’s Annual Road to Wealth Conference, and been an instructor for CFP® candidates studying for the CFP® exam in the course area of taxation.
